For those of you who don’t know why the hell everyone on your TV keeps shouting about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (or Fannie Mac and Freddie Mae as our Presidential candidates like to call them), here is a great background article on their role in the current economic crisis as well as the reason as to why everyone in DC seems to be avoiding Franklin Raines like he has leprosy.
